About Dr. Neil Riley
After graduating from Loyola Dental School in Chicago, Dr. Riley served in the US Army in S. Korea and Ft. Leonard Wood where he rose to the rank of Major. In the army, he was chosen as a member of the Pre-specialty Rotation Intern Program and afterwords worked with an endodontist for one year and was offered a residency in endodontics at Walter Reed Army Hospital. This honor was declined as Dr Riley decided to go into private practice as a general dentist in Columbia, Missouri.
Dr. Riley has served on the Delta Dental Board of Directors, The Missouri Dental Board (as president for two terms) and as president of the Columbia Dental Society.
Most recently, Dr. Riley has been a clinical instructor for seven years with The Hornbrook Group, teaching practicing dentists the art of cosmetic dentistry and full mouth reconstruction.
Dr. Riley is a Fellow of The American College of Dentists, The International College of Dentists, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists, American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association and Crown Council.
Personal Life
Dr. Riley is married to Lyanne. She has her Ph.D in speech pathology and works at the Veterans Administration Hospital, teaches at University of Missouri, treats patients in nursing homes and also does accent reduction.
Dr. Riley as three children. Raquel is married, has three boys and lives in Austin, Texas. Ben is a cosmetic dental ceramist and works at Quality Dental Arts in Columbia. Brett is a senior at Baylor University who plans to mentor youth through wilderness experience to Christ. Last year, he spent a semester in Patagonia sea kyaking and mountaineering in extreme conditions.
Dr. Riley is very involved with his church in men’s groups both as a seeker and mentor. He also is the founding president of Sunrise Southwest Rotary Club. Dr. Riley has a little brother (Melvin -Big Brothers, Big Sisters) whom he meets with regularly.
For recreation, he enjoys working out, golf and international motorcycle riding. He and Lyanne have ridden in 23 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and North and South America.
